Why have Mrs. McVeigh's Manners in your school?

Mrs. McVeigh's Manners has developed a unique curriculum that has kids thinking that learning manners can be fun and even 'cool.' We incorporate different traditional themes into the curriculum like meeting and greeting people, being a good guest, and using good table manners. We are unique in the way that we cover less conventional topics such as good sportsmanship, carpool manners, and spectator manners. Mrs. McVeigh's Manners also teaches children what kind of manners do (and don’t) apply, in lessons like Stranger Danger and How to Stop a Bully.

Mrs. McVeigh's Manners adds so much to a school’s daily curriculum.
Children are so excited to show their teacher(s) what they have learned that day in their manners' class, and continuously quote their manners' teacher on what is 'good manners.'

How Would Mrs. McVeigh's Manners work at my school?
We suggest once a week for 30 minute intervals, but are willing to tailor the program to your needs. We start at age 3, and can go as old as your oldest child! Every age benefits from our classes.

How do schools find time to build it into their class day?
We know your school has a lot to cover, and sometimes your teachers can barely get to the basics. If this is the case, you have two options. One is to build our class into your lunch time, and the second is to have an extended day. What parent would not only love to have their kids learn manners, but give them an extra 30 minutes – 1 hour extra in their day?

Bringing outside people is tricky for our school for liability reasons.
We welcome your teachers to be present during our class time. They are helpful to our instructor for crowd control. If you choose an extended day class, we are glad to pay your teacher her hourly rate to be present during the class. It is a win-win situation for everyone!

What is the Cost?
Mrs. McVeigh’s Manners is very affordable! 15.00 per 1 hour class, or $7.50 per ½ hour class, per child, plus a $10.00 supply fee for every 6 week semester. (Call for information on minimum class size, etc…)

How Do Most Schools Pay for the Classes?
Schools typically pay one of three ways.
1. Absorb the cost as part of tuition.
2. Parents pay per semester for the class.
3. Your parent's club uses their funds to pay for the classes.
